Three years old! “Wellspring of Life” and granddaughter Rielyn Jolene are celebrating another birthday!
As my longtime readers know and for the benefit of those more recently added, I published my first post the evening of Rielyn’s birth in 2010 and dedicated the “Wellspring” blog to her.
In annual celebratory fashion, it brings me joy (and I hope a smile to you!) to share this special “Wellspring” birthday edition, complete with today’s birthday photo of our “wellspring” in training! God’s little princess is growing by leaps and bounds, isn’t she?
Just as Rielyn has been growing and developing, so have the messages Holy Spirit is releasing through this blog. Quite often He reminds me of first the natural, then the spiritual.
So, as Rielyn’s grandmother – with the whole United States separating us these past three years – there is nurturing in the Spirit that is being poured out for her in ways that will endure for eternity. And not only for Rielyn but for our entire household. For our grandson Cohen and for the ones waiting in Heaven’s wings who will yet enlarge and bless our family tree.
This is both a grandmother’s legacy and “Wellspring’s” legacy…
This past year I had a vivid dream in which I was reclining while propped up on one arm. The same pose I sometimes used while nursing my children when they were babies. Those nursing breasts were amputated due to breast cancer nearly three years ago, the end of the summer after Rielyn’s birth.
In the dream I was nursing young ones again. I knew the setting was present-day because it was my reconstructed breasts, complete with surgical scars. My first thought was, “There’s no milk in there! How can they be feeding?!” However, I understood the dream was of spiritual significance. It was also the Lord’s continued affirmation that He has more for and through “Wellspring’s” ‘reconstructed delivery system’ where that nourishment in the dream came from!
A few weeks ago, He and I embarked on writing “Vineyard Days” – another series released in His timing. He does seem to have a theme, doesn’t He? Refreshing waters of life; nurturing milk for healthy growing; and now the richness of spiritual wine. He would that we be strong in the power of His might.
Three years ago I did not know what would be captured in the ‘pages’ of “Wellspring of Life.” Today, I am blessed, encouraged, and grateful for the body of writing the Lord has birthed through this vessel.
If you have been blessed and encouraged too, would you share the “Wellspring” blog with one or more? Along with Rielyn, I would love to see growth in “Wellspring’s” readership too. Thank you.
Happy third birthday, birthday girl! Happy third birthday of “Wellspring of Life,” my Bridegroom King!

P.S. It may be Rielyn’s birthday, but we get a gift! In June our son and daughter-in-law and Rielyn and Cohen will be here in Spokane for some months as they transition out of military life. There is lots of family waiting to make up for lost time and many miles of separation, ‘specially Mr. & Mrs. Shammah!
Shammahs Field LLC/Shammah Ministries is the biblical counseling, life coaching, and spiritual growth ministry entrusted to Wayne & Nancy Bentz. You can learn more about the resources they have to offer at www.shammahsfield.com.

So excited that your sweet grandbabies will be coming up – hopefully permanently in the area! Thanks for the picture of her. Fun to compare with Roxy (not compare in the regular sense of the word, but you know what I mean… see the growth of them!) Happy third birthday to you, Wellspring, and to you, Rielyn!!

Hi Nancy, Happy Anniversary! Is it significant that your blog started on the National Day of Prayer? I went to a time of prayer today and can’t believe we prayed for one hour and felt like we just started. My friend who is close to your office was there and I’m going to send her your blog. Also, I keep thinking about all Kay’s raps and how great they were. Did her husband do anything with them. I think young people would really enjoy them. I did! I think your dream is interesting. Of course I’m studying Joseph’s dreams and they certainly led him to an interesting conclusion in God’s timing. And much blessing to the known world and the saving of his family and the nations. Keep writing. Donna

Nanc,
What a darling girl Rielyn is. Happy Birthday to her and to “Wellspring of Life”!
There is much treasure in the pages you and Holy Spirit have written over the last three years. I look forward to the coming years as the Water, Milk and Wine continue to flow by Holy Spirit revelation, but also to watch as He expands your horizons to write (scribe) Eternal Truth on pages that will become books and novels.
Love and many blessings,
Jan
