Like most people, entering a new year gets my most hopeful juices flowing. I admit I was ready to wave “buh-bye!” to 2011. Then without so much as a hiccup, the New Year came splashing in upon us like a jet boat churning up water. We’ve been riding the wake the past two weeks. 2012 has yet to be boring.
Due to missing a blog posting last week, I made myself hop onto the dock for a breather and a catch up here in Wellspring-land…
A handful of posts back (The Fresh and the Familiar – 12/13/11), I made reference to the royalty realm – the kingdom of heaven. That phrase has not left me alone the past month. Instead, it has gathered steam. Methinks the Lord has set forth a new theme for the blog for a while. For those of you who enjoyed the Desert Days posts and those who have not read them, I pray that Royalty Realm will reach into your spirit in the weeks ahead.
To learn the protocol of the kingdom of heaven means we place ourselves as students at the feet of Jesus. He modeled in His humanity on earth how we can succeed in our humanity on earth.
In the thirty years leading up to His three years of public ministry, Jesus did not allow His divinity to supersede His humanity. Why?
Well, for many reasons, but let’s personalize this, shall we?
He knew one day down the corridors of history, a writer of a blog and readers of the same would look at His life and say, “Jesus, you lived it. Now show me, I pray, how to possess the kingdom.”
The Lord desires that we become schooled and skilled in this progression of possessing the kingdom. His Holy Spirit is our trainer and instructor. He sent The Helper because He knew there would be ones through the ages who would hunger, seek, receive and possess His kingdom. He modeled and paved the way for us. How?
It was Jesus’ refusal to displease the Father that allowed Him to succeed.
He knew His Father’s love and He trusted. He rested secure in the knowledge that Father knows best. He understood the posture of His heart before God was the motivation behind the possession.
In fact, He went a step further and declared to His contemporaries that the kingdom of heaven was near them, even within. (read Matthew)
Well, how do you like them pomegranates? When it comes down to it, our heart is still the heart of the matter. It’s the Old Faithful of our wellspring.
The royalty realm is not a place. It does not consist of things. It is our bearing in Christ Jesus. It is who we are in I Am.
Will you join me in developing our bearing? The kingdom awaits us for such a time as this.

Nancy, the Royalty Realm is to be experienced in this day and age. It is waiting for those who value it enough to pursue and apprehend it. Go for it!
